There is no doubt making a print a day is demanding and yesterday was the first day I was not happy with print, a moose, so I took time to rework him today and to carve a second moose for print #8. I was interested in the moose’s face, go I Googled, “moose face” to find images to work from. What I found was the Urban Dictionary definition for “moose face.”

30 Prints in 30 Days for $20
30 prints 30 days, Prints, Small Print StoreWhat is 30 prints in 30 days? Simply it is a challenge for me and an offer to you.
My Challenge: Make one new linoleum block print every single day in the month of January. Draw, carve and hand print up to 10 impressions of a 4″ x 6″ block onto 8″ x 10″ paper. Every single day.
Your offer: I often make room size installations, 6 foot drawings, or complex collages that are either too big, too expensive or just not quite right for some collectors. This is no risk, for the cost of a couple beers you can buy an original hand pulled print, just $20.
Why so inexpensive? This is a launch of a new business model, one where I make like crazy, small works for small budgets. I only make 10 impression of each block, so they are rare but I make 300 prints using 30 different blocks over the course of the month, one block a day.
How does it work? Each day at 8pm EST beginning January 1, 2015 (if I can get my schedule right) I will announce the new print. Only 10 will be available, and there will be a link to Etsy. The first 10 to buy the print gets its and no more of that block will be made. I will mail your print to you within 3 business days.

Last Print of the Year
Prints
This is my last print of 2014. It is a 12″ round double sided print for the exchange portfolio titled Vinyl to be shown at Southern Graphics International Conference in Knoxville, TN come March.
The subject of the portfolio with 27 artists, celebrates vinyl records. Knoxville is a great music city inside of a great music state of TN. Artists pulled from some of the music history of Knoxville or their personal relationship with vinyl. Mine, well, let’s just say I took a lot of leeway. But the title, “From my Victrola” is the real deal. I spent my childhood in my grandmothers second floor bedroom listening to 78’s on her Victrola while dressing up in 1930’s clothes. What does that have to do with this? Well who knows but it informed my relationship to music.
For the rest of 2014 I will be glueing this round black paper circle that was printed with the Pegasus wings onto the back of the paper. It will then be complete and shipped out.
Happy New Year!
P.S. None of these prints are available, however beginning January 1, I am launching 30 prints in 30 days, where I will carve and print a new piece each day and sell from for only $20. Stay tuned.
